VENUES
There are many venues available around Canterbury that we can recommend for you. You may like consider some of the following thoughts before looking around, as you will be asked many of these questions as you go along.
In finding a venue, it is helpful to have some idea of your numbers, budget, and what you are planning on doing - is there to be a dance, or just a meal?
Does the venue allow alcohol? Do any of your guests smoke - what is the intended venues policy on that? Are you after a well appointed room, or will a hall surfice? Does the venue have kitchen facilities? How many will the venue take, seated, and for the dance? What seating and tables are available? What clean-up is required? What music levels are allowable, and what time must you vacate the premises. Also have in mind the part of town you wish to be in, and how far guests will have to travel.

Venues, Halls & Marquee's
Darjon Vineyards in Ohoka also have a lovely indoor & outdoor setting for your wedding, a graceful Spanish influenced building that will seat up to about 120, beautifully presented with flagstone floors. Relax and enjoy their lovely wines while you sit surrounded by rows of vines. Website
Old Stone House, a beautiful relaxed venue tucked into the Port Hills in Cashmere. Both indoors and outdoors it is always immaculate and ready for your function. Will set around 100 comfortably. This is a perfect secluded city venue for your reception. Website
Rosemount, a very private Marquee & garden in Ohoka that is often used for weddings. Phone Merris on 03-312-0233 or 0800-00-ROSE to find out more! Beautifully presented with a white rose theme. Spacious garden and lawn areas with a lake and marquee that holds 90-100 seated however can be expanded considerably should it be required. Website

Marquees
There are many hire companies in Christchurch that you can access these through. We recommend Clausens Canvas & PV, based near Leeston ph. (03) 3243707. They provide an excellent and very cost efficient service.
Remember there are other requirements besides just the marquee itself, from the tables and chairs through to permits, electricity, lighting and heating.
As Caterers, we require an attached service tent, a quantity of tables, power and a fresh, clean water supply. We can discuss our exact requirements with you when we know your actual situation, menu and numbers as these all can have effect this.
