We are set up to travel to a clients venue, with our own refrigerated unit, and are ideally suited to cater for your function at venues in Christchurch and throughout mid Canterbury, or even further afield (by negotiation). Travel charges are kept to a minimum and in most instances are non-existent. We also have transportable cooking equipment and a generator for those functions that may be located in more difficult situations or venues such as in marquees or the great outdoors!
We work from our purpose built fully licensed kitchen from where our wonderful staff prepare your delicious choices with the utmost care as to quality and quantity for your guests. Your health is our first thought in ensuring that only the best arrives at the table to be served.
We assist your guests with their selection from the smorgasbord table, and in doing so are able to ensure that they are served only the finest foods.

A B Catering is owned and operated by Bronwyn van Roon and just recently has been joined by friend and staff member Tracy McIlraith. Our base is in Irwell, just south of Christchurch.
We have been operating for over 19 years as a business, but before that spent many weekends cooking for youth camps, church functions and of course a lot of our friends weddings and functions.
We have our own commercial kitchen, fully licensed, from where we prepare food before transporting it your venues or marquee.
We believe that only the best and highest quality ingredients will do, and as such will only purchase our fresh fruit & vegetables, meats and dairy the day before your function. We prepare as close to the time of any function as possible, so as to have crisp and wholesome salads, and dishes served at the highest quality possible.

Getting married at home is attractive option .for many...A marquee on the lawn does not however come cheap but the convenience and enjoyment is well worth it.
Do your sums, but if comparing to a venue where you must buy their drinks and pay corkage on that, the costs could be roughly the same and you may even make savings, especially if you are considering 100 or more guests.......
