The Horticultural Centre - South Hagley Park, Riccarton Ave. An central venue for a larger wedding. The main hall seats up to 250 depending on setup with space for a dance floor, the upstairs room 80 and the lounge 50. Ph 366-6937

Avebury House: Evelyn Cousins Dr. Lovely old historic homestead with an expansive lawn well shaded by large old trees. Great for outdoors functions with indoor outdoor flow. A number of rooms available, smaller but nice. Ph. 381-6615
Cashmere Function Centre: 95 Dyers Pass Road (cnr Hackthorne) 80-90 seated. Well appointed & great views over the city. Minimal outdoor areas. Ph. 3327244.
St Andrews Senior College Center: Normans Road Papanui. Modern and seats around 150. Carpeted lounge area and dining room space.
The Christchurch Music Centre: Barbadoes St. Uniquely elegant, the Heritage Chapel area seats 120 or 150 standing on carped floors. The Don Whelan room or convent is used as a party type room which holds 70-80. Website
Taunton Gardens: marquee venue with historic cottage. Lovely views of Lyttleton harbour and a gorgeous garden setting. Ph. Barry, 329--9746 Website
Rolleston Community Centre: a carpeted seating 70ish & hall for much larger functions up to 200. Nicely appointed and 10 minutes from Christchurch
Rossburn Receptions: Rangiora, a unique single level venue with a colonial museum seating 50-150 easily and elegantly with a silk lined ceiling & macrocarpa dance floor. Several outdoor options for your ceremony available Website
Suzettes Rural Gardens: Dorie, just south of Rakaia. Very private venue ideal to set up marquees. Suited to all types of functions, buffet or served meals, finger food, picnic or bbq all set in an incredible 12 acre garden complete with a large gazebo, rose gardens, a fernery, native area, lake with boardwalk & water lilies, topairys, pertanque court and covered areas as well as separate space for marquees and weddings of any size. Naval Point Club, on the shore front,Lyttleton. Overlooks the harbour with a nautical feel. Nice upstairs venue seating around 70.
Gaiety Hall, the Rue Jolie, Akaroa. A lovely old style country hall, fully refurbished with space for around 150 seated.
Diamond Harbour Community Center - Lovely harbour views, a large outdoor veranda area, seats 100 - 150 people, carpeted inside, BYO
English Park: Cranford Street, St Albans. Seats around 120 people, looks over the playing fields. A church next door.
Local Community and Sports Club Halls - many to choose from! Often a little rustic, but can be very cheap and with a little artistic flair we have seen some incredible results! Please ask for recommendations or speak with your local council.
Darfield Community Centre, - a number of rooms to choose from holding numbers from 30-250.
Hororata Community Hall - large hall with supper room and lounge, fireplace seating up to approx. 150. Lovely stone church nearby is also available for services. .
Heathcote Community Centre - Bridle Path Road. Seats 80-100 nicely
Mt Pleasant Community Centre- McCormacks Bay Road. Large and tidy, seating up to 200 if required. Several rooms available and outdoor areas.Well priced. Website
North New Brighton Community Centre - end of Bowhill Road. Right on the beachfront with stunning views of the penninsula & up to Kaikoura on a clear day. Room to seat around 200 or 150 with dancefloor.
